Professional golfers from across Ghana are preparing to gather in Tema next week for what promises to be one of the most competitive tournaments on the domestic golf calendar. With GH¢100,000 in prize money and national prestige at stake, the PGA Heritage Cup 2026 is set to draw some of the country’s finest golfing talents.
The championship will take place from March 18 to March 21 at the renowned Centre of the World Golf Club, marking the first flagship tournament of the year organized by the Professional Golfers Association of Ghana.

This year’s competition has been strategically scheduled during National Heritage Month, adding cultural symbolism to the sporting spectacle. Beyond the financial reward, players will also be competing for the prestigious Heritage Cup trophy, widely regarded as one of the most respected titles in Ghana’s professional golf scene.
Two Competitive Categories
The championship will feature two divisions:
- Professional golfers competing over four days of play
- Senior professionals competing over three days
Both groups will battle on the same course throughout the tournament, creating an exciting atmosphere for spectators and fans of the sport.
The final day will also introduce an amateur competition, where more than 40 amateur golfers are expected to tee off alongside the professionals, bringing together rising talents and experienced players in a unique golfing experience.
